Experience: The evolution of an Accountable Care Organization (ACO)

Every company says it’s unique. But in the case of delivering clinical integration solutions that support providers’ transition to new models of care, such as an Accountable Care Organization (ACO), we truly are.

MedVentive was founded in 1997 as the Provider Service Network (PSN) of the CareGroup Healthcare System, an integrated, at-risk network of 4,500 physicians and eight hospitals responsible for the care of more than 450,000 at-risk patients. So, while the healthcare industry was evolving the concept of an ACO, we were busy operating as one. Successfully!

We have more than a decade and a half of experience developing and using tools and processes to understand and improve provider performance and patient outcomes - solutions that have gained credibility with physicians who are often skeptical when you’re talking about Pay-for-Performance (P4P) and other incentive-based programs, population management, clinical integration and risk management issues.

MedVentive’s level of experiential insights can only be gained through day-to-day, hands-on work dealing with the real-world challenges that all providers face. We’ve lived it. We know it’s not just about what business and clinical data you can collect for your analytics. Understanding physician workflow is key to delivering effective tools that enable you to close gaps in care, manage performance and drive meaningful change to deliver true value to patients, physicians and provider organizations.
