Security Overview
MedVentive makes the security of your data our highest priority - our architecture delivers a comprehensive approach to security on multiple levels.
MedVentive is fully compliant with HIPAA regulations, and deploys the following security measures in each application installation to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of PHI:
- Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption protects the confidentiality of data transmissions over the Internet and meets HIPAA encryption requirements. All Web sessions are protected by 128 bit SSL encryption
- A unique user ID and a strong password are assigned to each MedVentive user, and each user is assigned appropriate levels of application access based on business requirements. This feature allows you to manage the type of data that each of your users can access.
- MedVentive logs each user's access to patient identifiable data in an audit log.
- All MedVentive servers are protected by a redundant firewall cluster, monitored and managed 24x7 by staff at our hosting facility.
- MedVentive's applications are fully hosted at a secure, Class A, state-of-the-art data hosting facility with 24x7 monitoring. This data center (NOC) provides comprehensive data security including firewall management, and router based Access Control List (ACL) security.
